Where do I start, unfortunately the Limbaugh effect. Ironically Bill Clinton was a guest on Limbaugh's vomit-causing radio talk-show when there was as guest host the Friday before the primary, coincidence? DOUBTFUL.
On MSNBC's Countdown with Keith Olbermann last night, Washington Post's Richard Wolffe reportedly stated that up to 5% of the Clinton votes in the Texas primary could be attributed to Republican Party crossovers possibly motivated by Rush Limbaugh which could be margin of victory.
MSNBC is now reporting that Obama might pick up the net gain from Texas .
We're still waiting for 60% of the vote, but Obama is leading 56%-44% in Texas’ caucuses, which would give him seven to nine net delegates and give Obama the most delegates from Texas when you include the primary.
The Washington Post has an article about the Texas 2-Step that is haunting that democracy is not only ugly but worse....a "prison riot"
LAREDO, Tex., March 5 -- Roberto Hereda came to United High School on Tuesday
night to help elect a president, but instead found an irritated mob that
reminded him of "a prison riot."bout 150 would-be Democratic caucusgoers stood
outside in the South Texas wind, still waiting for their caucus to begin two
hours after the scheduled start time. Some people banged on the windows of the cafeteria and chanted, "We want to vote!" and "We're getting cheated!" Desperate to control the crowd, a supporter of Obama stood on a chair and propped an old Behringer speaker onto his shoulder. "The people in charge don't know what they're doing, so please be patient," he said through a microphone.
"Honestly, we could be here all night." After hearing that, Hereda scooped up his 4-year-old daughter and walked to his car." I wanted to caucus, but it's too much incompetence," he said. "I've never seen such a mess."
