Superdelegate endorsement continue to climb for Obama!

Obama's continued daily gathering of superdelegates continued late yesterday as he received an endorsement from former Sen. John Melcher (D-MT) as well as a public endorsement of former Congressman Lee Hamilton (D-IN), he is not an official superdelegate but the co-chair of the 9/11 Commission.

Also in today's Daily Kos this little nugget fell out of the blog-soap, President Jimmy Carter.
President Carter told THISDAYONLINE
"We are very interested in the primaries. Don’t forget that Obama won in my state of Georgia. My town which is home to 625 people is for Obama, my children and their spouses are pro- Obama. My grandchildren are also pro- Obama. As a Super Delegate, I would not disclose who I am rooting for but I leave you to make that guess."
This will not just sit long as I am confident, even though Carter would like not to disclose until the convention . This officially places the hard count at 216 for Obama and 227 soft count (including Sen. Cartwell (D-WA), the eight (8) North Carolinians who are reportedly about to publicly endorse Obama and now Jimmy Carter, but not including some of NJ's delegation who said they would switch if Obama continued to win pledged delegates), to Clinton's static 246.

UPDATE:
Gov. Jon Corzine (D-NJ), who has previously endorsed Sen. Hillary Clinton, stated this morning in a CNBC interview
" he may cast his vote at the Democratic convention for Sen. Barack Obama if Clinton doesn't win the popular voteh."
While Corzine emphasized he still thinks Clinton will win the popular vote, he did open the door to a possible switch.
Officially Obama is now under the 30-mark. MSNBC is reporting Obama is at 224 so I suspect the actual number is now approaching the mid 230's and now in the wake of Obama's surge in the polls and continued financial support compared to Clinton's rumored financial woes he could be tied with her in this one strength area before April 22nd.
